Couscous is made of granules from durum wheat semolina. Dry couscous can be cooked by steeping the granules in warm water for up to 10 minutes, or until the granules have absorbed the liquid and become tender. Couscous is mildly nutty and tender in texture; ideal for salads, soups, side dishes, or other cooking applications. Couscous can also be used in baking applications.
